About The Position
ABC17 News is seeking a full-time Multimedia Journalist that will be expected to perform live reporting in the field and bring enterprised story ideas to work every day and work within a research-driven newsroom. Employee must have the flexibility to work in the modern newsroom and could be called upon to beat report, shoot video, produce, web edit, etc. The successful candidate duties will include gathering information, writing, shooting, cultivating sources and editing stories for nightly newscasts and station website.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate
- Strong writing skills
- Organizational skills
- Videography
- Video tape editing
- Professional on-camera presence
- Valid Missouri driver’s license
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor degree in journalism, communication or related field is preferred
- Previous newsroom experience is a plus
