About The Position

TelevisaUnivision is seeking an assertive, passionate bilingual multimedia journalist who is social media savvy, has solid news judgment, and can think quickly and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism.
• 1–2 years of reporting experience.
• Strong live reporting skills.
• Ability to work well under time deadlines.
• Willingness to work early morning, morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal issues in news gathering.
• Genuine enthusiasm for the work and a drive for excellence.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, including reading and writing.
• Strong reporting skills.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Generate stories with minimum direction.
• Shoot and edit news stories.
• Produce daily content across a variety of platforms.
• Develop sources and contacts.
• Contribute story ideas daily.
• Set up interviews and other appointments as needed to conduct background research on assigned stories.
• Report live from the field on breaking stories.
• Participate in station-related events.
• Maintain close communication with the news team, show producers, and news director.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
