About The Position

WJAR, Southern New England’s News Leader, is hiring a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ). The role involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories; developing story ideas and contacts; and handling other responsibilities as assigned. The journalist will produce daily content for television and a variety of digital platforms, including the internet, social networking sites, and mobile phones. Requirements

• At least 2 years of reporting experience.
• Experience with live shots.
• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to tell an NPPA-style story.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends.
