About The Position

The Multimedia Designer will partner closely with instructional designers to translate written content and concepts into visually compelling, instructionally effective materials. The ideal candidate combines strong graphic design skills with experience developing online e-learning content and has a solid understanding of modern web and visual design principles. Candidates will be required to provide samples of their work through an online portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications, Visual Design, or a related field.
  • Strong online portfolio demonstrating engaging design and a mastery of dynamic composition, excellent typography skills, information design, and effective use of color.
  • Expert-level Adobe Photoshop skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
  • Strong experience with Articulate 360.
  • Familiarity with the Mighty plug-in tool.
  • Experience creating multimedia content and visual assets for e-learning and training materials is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern web design trends and concepts, with the ability to effectively incorporate them into design work.
  • Experience and ability to transform written content and concepts into compelling, engaging visuals.
  • Ability to apply sound instructional design principles while using flexibility and imagination to meet the unique needs of each training project.
  • Ability to take a consultative approach when working with instructional designers to identify the most effective and efficient ways to achieve the goals of the training material.
  • Comfortable working in a Windows PC environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work successfully within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, and the desire to learn new tools and processes.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging graphics and multimedia content from written concepts and training materials.
  • Partner with instructional designers and design teams to determine the most effective visual approach for training content.
  • Apply strong principles of typography, composition, color, and information design.
  • Develop content using Articulate 360.
  • Will be trained to use and work with the client's e-learning authoring tool.
  • Work with the Mighty plug-in as needed.
  • Incorporate current web and digital design trends into learning materials.
  • Balance instructional design standards with creative approaches based on the needs of each project.
