About The Position

The Multimedia Design Specialist will perform still and motion multimedia design in all visual areas for print, digital, photography, and video. This role supports the Marketing Department in all creative areas as needed, including multimedia art and design for all marketing channels and providing clear creative input on all campaign creative and visual brand elements. The specialist will act as a brand steward, providing key input on internal and external brand identity, and fulfilling design, photography, and video campaigns to ensure they meet brand guidelines and quality expectations. They will create and provide creative input for print, TV commercials and other video, animation, photography, and other design mediums. Requirements

• Demonstrates mastery of design fundamentals, including typography, kerning, leading, hierarchy, composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop) with strong working knowledge of motion and video-related tools
• Comfortability shooting still and video with a DSLR camera
• Understands the difference between creating visually appealing work and building strategically effective marketing communications
• Serves as a guardian of the brand, ensuring consistency while thoughtfully evolving the visual identity over time.
• Understands when to work within established brand standards and when to push creative boundaries to drive differentiation
• Possesses strong creative-direction capabilities and can guide concepts from initial briefing through final execution
• Strong understanding of video production workflows, including directing external video vendors, guiding talent, developing storyboards, and ensuring visual quality
• Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback and helping elevate the creative capabilities of the broader team
• Demonstrates humility, emotional intelligence, and a team-first mindset; strong interpersonal and communication skills, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy
• Builds strong relationships across departments and works effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize your own work activities; analyze and disseminate numerical data; manage work time efficiently; follow procedures and policies; perform basic mathematical calculations; identify and solve problems
• Ability to collaborate and work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize numerous tasks with great attention to detail, proactively complete projects and tasks within the expected timeframe, and manage pressures associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere
• Sound and prudent decision-making, ethics, and professionalism
• Two to four years of similar or related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and some Photoshop and After Effects

Responsibilities

• Responsible for graphic/multimedia design both externally and internally; creating and/or influencing projects that could include branding and logo development, print, media and online design, and design replication
• Collaborating closely with content, product development, and leadership teams to translate business goals into compelling creative executions
• Conceptualizing and progressing full-funnel campaigns (rather than simply fulfilling design requests)
• Capturing original photography for locations, events, and branded storytelling
• Manage photo libraries and ensure consistency with visual standards
• Upkeeping brand library both in file structure and Adobe library; organize, save, and back up all design and publication files
• Create, produce, and edit branded radio advertisements
• Work with voiceover artists or AI voiceovers, mixing music and effects to create polished audio content
• Shared responsibility to ensure brand and industry compliance
• Maintain positive communication with team and management and attend meetings
• Represent Canyon View Credit Union as appropriate and as requested
• Understand the Bank Secrecy Act and how it is applied
