The Multimedia Communications Design Specialist will work out of the AECOM office in Columbus, OH. This media design specialist develops innovative communications products that enhance public engagement, support technical project delivery, and strengthen client communications across a variety of digital platforms. Working collaboratively with graphic designers, engineers, planners, public involvement specialists, GIS professionals, and project managers, this position transforms complex technical information into engaging, accessible, and visually compelling digital experiences. Responsibilities include creating animated presentations, motion graphics, website graphics, digital newsletters, email campaigns, social media content, interactive communication materials, and multimedia assets that support engineering, transportation, planning, and public outreach initiatives. This role plays a key part in developing communication products that help agencies explain transportation projects, visualize technical concepts, support public meetings, deliver online training, communicate project updates, and improve stakeholder engagement through digital-first communication strategies. The Multimedia Communications Design Specialist serves as the team's subject matter resource for multimedia production, digital communication technologies, motion graphics, and emerging communication platforms. By identifying new tools, production techniques, and digital communication strategies, this position expands the team's ability to deliver engaging, innovative, and accessible communication products while supporting the evolving needs of clients and the communities they serve.
