About The Position

We are looking for a creative, self-starting Multimedia Coordinator to bring our 50-year story to life across digital channels. You�ll own the visual content that represents H&P � from project photography and short-form video to social media, email campaigns, and website updates � and you�ll be on the ground at events capturing the moments that matter. This is a hands-on role for someone who can pick up a camera, edit footage, write a caption, and schedule a post, work events � all in the same afternoon. You�ll be based in Lynchburg but will travel regularly to all seven H&P offices across Virginia to tell the full story of our firm.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with photo and video capture � DSLR or mirrorless camera experience preferred
  • Comfortable editing video in Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Experience managing professional social media accounts
  • Strong written communication � you know how to write for a professional audience without sounding stiff
  • Organized and reliable � you follow through without being micromanaged
  • Travel regularly to all seven H&P offices across Virginia (Lynchburg, Blacksburg, Gretna, Halifax, Chase City, Roanoke, and Wytheville)
  • Degree or coursework in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field � or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Must have a valid drivers license in good standing with a minimum of 3 years licensed driving experience

  • Drone operation
  • Experience with WordPress or a similar CMS
  • Previous experience in engineering, construction, or AEC industry content

Responsibilities

  • Photograph and film H&P projects, staff, events, and milestones across all seven Virginia offices
  • Produce and edit short-form video content for social media, internal use, and recruiting
  • Manage and grow H&P�s social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) � including writing copy, scheduling posts, and tracking engagement
  • Design and send email communications using our email marketing platform
  • Make routine updates to the H&P website � text, photos, project spotlights, news posts
  • Support planning and on-site execution of company events, groundbreakings, and community initiatives
  • Collaborate with department heads and project managers to find and tell compelling project stories
  • Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, and branded assets
  • Assist in writing press releases and working with media contacts
