About The Position
The Multilingual Teacher supports English learners’ academic and language development through targeted instruction and collaboration with general education staff. The role helps students develop English proficiency while accessing core content and meeting state standards. The position is with Washington Connections Academy, a tuition-free, statewide virtual public school serving students in grades K–12.
Requirements
- Valid teaching certificate with an appropriate ESL, ELL, or bilingual endorsement, as required by Washington state.
- Washington state residency.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct English language development (ELD) instruction aligned with students’ language proficiency levels.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support English learners in accessing grade-level curriculum.
- Monitor and document students’ language development progress.
- Communicate regularly with families using appropriate language supports.
- Participate in English learner identification, placement, and reclassification processes.
