About The Position

TDIndustries is seeking a motivated Multifamily Project Manager Intern to join our team for a Summer 2027 Internship opportunity. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, supporting various projects from inception to completion. As an intern, you will work closely with our project management team to assist in planning, executing, and monitoring project activities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
  • Previous internship or experience in project management or related fields is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow experienced project managers to observe and participate in daily tasks for project initiation, management, and completion.
  • Learn about critical project management topics including building business relationships, estimating and bidding jobs, contract management, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, and financial reporting.
  • Accompany superintendents on quality walks and participate in project team meetings to understand on-site operations and team dynamics.
  • Gain foundational knowledge in project costs, material tracking, and project coordination, including reviewing project drawings and identifying potential conflicts.
  • Engage in a career-enhancing internship to grow project management and engineering skill sets through practical application.
  • Complete an overarching project assignment culminating in a presentation to corporate leadership.
  • Assist in analyzing construction drawings to create actionable plans for the field team.
  • Review project estimates and collaborate with the project team to aid in financial forecasting and budgeting.
  • Establish communication with TDI vendors, assisting with submittals and procurement processes.
  • Learn and understand the fundamentals of submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Attend Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) meetings, team meetings, and project planning sessions.
