New Hampshire Housing’s mission is to promote, finance, and support housing solutions for the people of New Hampshire. We have empowered over 55,000 families to achieve their dream of homeownership and have played a pivotal role in funding the development of over 16,000 multifamily housing units. Our dedicated team manages thousands of Housing Choice Vouchers annually. We’re on a mission, and we want your expertise! Are you someone who takes pride in spotting the details others might miss? Do you have experience with housing inspections and want your work to make a real impact across New Hampshire communities? We’re looking for a Multifamily Housing Inspector to help ensure the quality, safety, and long-term viability of properties across our statewide portfolio. As a Multifamily Housing Inspector, you will play a key part in preserving affordable housing throughout the granite state. In this role, you will: Independently plan and conduct thorough, on-site reviews of multifamily properties across New Hampshire, ensuring compliance with program requirements, codes, and standards while applying a sharp eye for detail. Collaborate closely with Asset Management to identify and assess physical condition concerns that impact risk, sustainability, and resident safety, including targeted inspections of higher-risk or underperforming properties. Administer the third-party Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) inspection process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Turn findings into clear, actionable guidance by preparing concise inspection reports, responding to owner inquiries, and providing practical direction to property owners and management teams on compliance requirements, inspection results, and corrective actions. To support onboarding and training, the initial months of employment will be conducted in-office. Following this period, remote work may be available on an intermittent basis, as determined by the manager.
