About The Position

Freddie Mac is seeking a Multifamily Asset Management Senior to join the Structured Transactions group within Special Servicing. This role focuses on asset management for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) investments and complex portfolio and securitized assets, including bond transactions and revolving lines of credit. These responsibilities are crucial for Freddie Mac's corporate affordability objectives. The successful candidate will analyze and manage consent requests, perform underwriting, and collaborate with legal counsel. They will also exercise delegated approval authority for credit decisions and make recommendations for management review on more complex matters.

Requirements

  • Typically has 5 to 7 years of related LIHTC experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently manage large volumes of requests with measurable deadlines.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Strong underwriting/credit experience/management experience with LIHTC investments.
  • Strong leadership skills and thorough understanding of LIHTC asset management.
  • Proactive oversight and development of processes, procedures and tracking systems while timing fulfilling all commitments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and be proactive; must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail such as complex legal documents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team and exercise delegated approval authority for LIHTC functions such as investment oversight, capital calls, and transactions.
  • Assist with transactions on complex debt products.
  • Collaborate with the Structured Transaction Director and manage initiatives for the team.
  • Oversee internal tracking and reporting on investments.
  • Continue to develop procedures, processes and applications such as MRI.
