About The Position

Store Detectives help assigned locations detect and apprehend shoplifters. The role covers multiple stores and uses visual observation and CCTV to support loss prevention and create video records of incidents requested by law enforcement or internal departments. The detective also troubleshoots CCTV equipment, reports malfunctions and provides solutions, may testify in court, and reports possible internal integrity issues to the assigned loss prevention representative. The position supports a safe and secure environment for customers and Team Members, with safety as the top priority.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a retail grocery environment, law enforcement, or security.

Responsibilities

• Detect and apprehend shoplifters using standard visual practices and CCTV in a multi-store environment.
• Use CCTV to create video records of incidents requested by law enforcement and internal departments.
• Troubleshoot CCTV equipment malfunctions, report them, and provide solutions.
• Provide testimony in court cases as required by law enforcement or court representatives.
• Report possible internal integrity issues to the assigned loss prevention representative.
• Communicate effectively with customers and law enforcement personnel.
• Perform other security and loss prevention duties to help ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and Team Members.
• Maintain safety as the top priority for Team Members, guests, and products.
