Requirements

  • Must possess a degree in: Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field – 10 years of progressively increasing management experience can replace the education requirement.
  • Must possess 5-7 years of progressively increasing management responsibility in physician practice administration, healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Must possess skills in: Physician and staff relationship building.
  • Excellent computer skills including experience in using excel, Outlook (E-Mail), Practice Management Software applications, financial management applications and other related applications.
  • Development and interpretation of complex financial documents including profit & loss statement, budgets and other related reports.
  • Human Resources Management
  • Business planning and development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented and still remained focus on larger goals/targets

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Healthcare Administration, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction and oversight in a manner consistent with the mission and core values of the organization and industry standard business practices.
  • Develop budgets, establish and apply established policies and procedures, and insure development and implementation of efficient workflow processes in all areas of the practice.
  • Responsible for the identification and development of revenue opportunities, physician relationship building, practice building and expansion, and overall site and practice enhancement.
  • Works closely with all the physicians and staff in the site as well as the Site Medical Director and the Vice President.
  • Interacts closely with other senior management team members to drive the success of corporate initiatives, practice development and key organizational goals.
  • Oversee the day to day activities in the site as well as the primary care practice, physicians and staff.
  • Responsible for financial management of the site, including preparing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and developing financial projections for new revenue opportunities, key projects, and organizational business decision support.
  • Responsible for business and clinical operations of the site, providing leadership, direction, and oversight for daily primary care practice operations, including policy and procedure development, workflow efficiency, revenue management, charge capture processes, and PCP staff management.
  • Responsible for transitioning new physicians into the practice, including oversight of contract implementation, practice setup, and ongoing compliance with contractual obligations of physicians and the organization. Assists with physician recruitment and the development of physician employment agreements.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of corporate initiatives, strategic plans, and key business initiatives related to areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for chairing and leading department meetings, including agenda development, priority setting, and driving completion of key action items.
  • Communicates organizational goals, business issues, and initiative priorities to direct reports.
  • Ensures compliance with all corporate policies, procedures, and NCQA standards related to areas of responsibility.
  • Identifies key physician and employee relations issues and develops plans to address them.
  • Participates effectively in team projects, corporate initiatives, and community events.
  • Completes performance appraisals and competency assessments in a timely manner and ensures direct reports complete appraisals, as applicable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
