About The Position

The Multi Skilled Technician assists providers and staff with clinical and administrative functions to provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. Under the direct supervision of clinic providers, the technician assists in delivering primary health care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Multitasking and time-management skills.
• Ability to convey information effectively.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care services and support patient safety.
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaint, and current history for each patient, and prepare patients for examination.
• Communicate patient and family healthcare needs to the appropriate healthcare provider.
• Assist providers with minor procedures as requested.
• Complete laboratory tests or prepare request forms for tests ordered by providers.
• Monitor patients to ensure their comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Participate in patient and family teaching within areas of knowledge.
• Perform clinical and administrative functions.
• Monitor patient flow to support effective use of providers’ time.
• Report and document information concisely.
• Request and send medical records or test results to and from appropriate departments.
• Use and account for resources.
• Clean and stock examination and minor procedure rooms for each patient and procedure.
• Prepare medical and procedural equipment for sterilization and ensure patient-care equipment is in proper working order.
