Provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic effective patient care as scheduled. This role involves performing patient care services, ensuring daily living activities are performed as scheduled and documented, and executing technical skills per standards as assigned/delegated. The technician will promptly respond to call lights, proactively participate in implementing patient care plans, and schedule patients for treatments, procedures, and/or tests. They are expected to follow safety rules, maintain a safe patient environment, and manage patient data and records. Communication of patient/family healthcare needs to the appropriate provider, timely reporting of significant events, and assisting with planning by sharing input from patients and families are key aspects of the role. The technician will also handle telephone and call light responses, maintain supplies and equipment, perform courier services, and ensure adequate inventory. Participation as a team member to achieve business goals, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction is essential. This includes assisting team members, participating in committees/councils and performance improvement activities, and maintaining regular and timely attendance. Successful completion of probation and annual skills/competency requirements, practicing within legal, ethical, and professional boundaries, and maintaining expertise in the area are also required. The role serves as a role model by demonstrating positive team-based behaviors and commitment to personal professional growth. Safeguarding confidential information and performing duties in compliance with all laws and regulations governing healthcare organizations are mandatory. The position also involves contributing to daily department operations and completing special duties or projects as assigned.
