About The Position
CBS News Miami is looking for a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist (MSJ) to join their team. The MSJ will have a passion for original storytelling, bring story ideas to the table daily, and a desire to tell local stories that matter in fast-paced South Florida. MSJs are responsible for enterprising content and executing a story from start to finish. The candidate will also have a strong on-camera presence and strong technical skills. Paramount is on a mission to unleash the power of content and is looking for passionate people who recognize the power of content and enjoy a touch of fun and uniqueness. Together, they co-create moments that matter for their audiences and employees, aiming to leave a positive mark on culture.
Requirements
- Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for linear and digital platforms
- Must have knowledge of Grass Valley Edius editing platform or similar platform
- Must have knowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio and LiveU
- Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays is required
- Must be a team player who can multi-task and possess the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Journalism degree is preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and executive enterprise content on a daily basis
- Cover breaking news when assigned
- Shoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscasts
- Work with news managers and producers to develop stories
- Produce content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and other social media platforms
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A valid driver’s License is required.
