Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news. WWL-TV, the Tegna CBS affiliate in New Orleans, is looking for a part-time, temporary traffic reporter for our morning show. We are looking for an engaging personality who can give updates on traffic -- where it's running smoothly and where delays exist -- during the morning newscasts. The ideal candidate will deliver information as though they're in a conversation with viewers, understanding the most important things they need to know as they head out on their morning routines.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of reporting/traffic/anchoring
• Previous traffic anchoring a plus

Responsibilities

• Weekday traffic anchor for the entirety of the morning show, 5am - 9am
• Making sure that impactful traffic situations are relayed to the story desk for push alerts and stories
• Making the morning show producers aware when traffic needs to play bigger due to breaking accidents
• Covering traffic, including evacuations and other vital information during hurricanes
