Requirements

  • Strong EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Proven ability to lead across multiple sites or complex operations
  • Deep knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, Title V, SARA, NPDES, etc.)
  • Experience with ISO-style EHS management systems
  • Ability to influence and drive change across multiple teams and locations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Hands-on approach with time spent on the production floor
  • Skilled in incident investigation, risk assessment, and problem-solving
  • Passion for safety and continuous improvement
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and locations effectively
  • High level of accountability, integrity, and ownership
  • Self-directed with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and 5-7 years minimum experience; or equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications relevant to the position.
  • Having access to CUI (controlled unclassified information)
  • Individual must be a Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (22 CFR §120.15.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor EHS Engineers across both sites, ensuring alignment and consistency
  • Champion corporate EHS programs while developing practical, site-driven solutions
  • Partner with site and regional leadership to align EHS strategy with business goals
  • Foster a proactive, high-trust safety culture across both facilities
  • Maintain a regular, visible presence at both locations to support operations and reinforce safety culture
  • Travel frequently between St. Marys and Coudersport to engage teams, conduct assessments, and lead initiatives
  • Ensure consistency in EHS standards, practices, and expectations across both sites
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews
  • Oversee hazardous waste management, permitting, and reporting (RCRA, NPDES, Title V, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate EHS records, logs, and documentation
  • Lead incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Identify trends and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Drive Behavior-Based Safety and observation programs
  • Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
  • Design and deliver impactful EHS training programs across both sites
  • Lead safety meetings and plant-wide initiatives
  • Engage employees at all levels to build ownership of safety practices
  • Serve as a visible EHS leader on the manufacturing floor
  • Manage key programs including LOTO, PPE, Confined Space, Hazard Communication, and more
  • Oversee emergency preparedness and response
  • Support energy reduction and sustainability initiatives
  • Lead or participate in Plant Safety Committees
