About The Position

Under the direction of the Program Director / Sr. program Director, the Multi Site Director is responsible for overseeing multiple Afterschool Program sites in Miami Dade County. The individual in this role will implement, manage and monitor the afterschool licensing standards, goals, and objectives at various afterschool sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Completed and maintained requirements for Florida Department of Children and Families Director’s Credential.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and overseeing programs including risk management, and program development.
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to maintain, and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Completed and maintained requirements for Florida Department of Children and Families Director’s Credential (DCF 45 hours).
  • Pass a Level II fingerprint background screening.
  • Successfully complete a drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the designated Afterschool site(s) as the Multi-Site Director, overseeing all aspects of the program.
  • Ensure that all assigned site(s) adhere to DCF licensing standards, YMCA policies, state and local safety regulations, and grant requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA, State and local safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Implement Program Quality Standards and maintain a safe, structured learning environment for children.
  • Provide technical support to enhance program quality and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and maintain staff-to-child ratios in accordance with YMCA and licensing policies.
  • Assist Site Directors with lesson planning, training, and staff oversight to ensure high-quality programming.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, support, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Plan, write, and implement daily program activities that foster a positive learning environment and implement special events to engage children.
  • Ensure all activities are age appropriate for all children.
  • Assist counselors in planning and coordinating activities for children.
  • Regularly monitor equipment and facilities for safety and security concerns, addressing them promptly.
  • Review and maintain comprehensive staff files on site(s) to ensure compliance with YMCA and DCF mandates.
  • Conduct fire drills and safety drills to ensure the adherence of all emergency procedures in compliance with YMCA and DCF regulations.
  • Maintain well-stocked first aid kits with adequate supplies.
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of program areas, creating a welcoming environment.
  • Document all accidents and incidents to the Site Director.
  • Implement and maintain an effective supervision system for designated sites (e.g., playgrounds, bathrooms).
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and school administrators at each site location.
  • Ensure accurate recording of attendance, financials, and sign-in/sign-out logs.
  • Follow up on absent children as necessary.
  • Complete supply and equipment requests promptly and accurately.
  • Supervise children with warmth, dignity, and respect, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Regularly attend Association office meetings, trainings, and inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director/Sr. Program Director.
