About The Position

A Multi-Modality Technologist will perform imaging procedures while adhering to established guidelines and assisting in the training of new technologists. They will work under the supervision of the modality supervisory technologist and modality medical director, performing all technical procedures within their respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual and meeting the technical competency requirements for the position. Multi-Modality Technologists must work as needed in two (2) or more of the following modalities: Angiography, Cardiac Catheterization lab, Computed Tomography, Mammography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiography, Ultrasound, Vascular Sonography, and Breast Sonography. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and possess the ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Training in AMA approved school and meets requirements for registry by the ARRT.
  • 1 year CT experience preferred (hospital experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in HIS, RIS and PACS systems.
  • American Heart Association/American Red Cross BLS Certification
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R)
  • Florida Department of Health X-Ray License
  • Current CT Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
