The primary responsibility of a multi-modality technologist is to perform any two combinations of procedures with related techniques, producing images for interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Multi-Modality Technologists in the Mobile Resource Pool earn increased hourly rates and differentials due to their flexibility in work schedules. This role involves performing duties for any two imaging modalities (e.g., XR, CT, MRI), meeting continuing education requirements, operating equipment, and understanding workflows. The technologist will select appropriate imaging sequences, obtain patient clinical history, apply safety principles, provide radiation protection, verify patient identification, and perform venipuncture and administer medications/contrast when required.
