The primary responsibility of a multi-modality technologist is to perform any two combinations of procedures with related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. This role involves operating equipment, understanding workflows, selecting appropriate imaging parameters, obtaining patient history, applying safety principles, and providing radiation protection. Depending on the modalities, responsibilities may also include venipuncture, administering medications/contrast, and using a power injector. The technologist will be scheduled for on-call duties as required.
