About The Position

The Multi Media Reporter / Anchor serves as the primary presenter of news stories and other content. The role produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits, and feeds news production content for multiple platforms, including television, internet, and mobile, in a clear, engaging, and meaningful manner. The position also produces an OBS-style newscast, works with management to develop and enterprise stories, and creates digital and social media content.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or a related field; equivalent years of experience may substitute for education.
Three years of television anchoring or reporting experience.
Electronic News Gathering (ENG) experience.
Solid vocal delivery, camera presence, and clear enunciation.
Strong reporting skills.
Understanding of the importance of social media.
Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills.
Promote teamwork and maintain a cooperative attitude with all station personnel.
Ability to operate newsroom computer systems.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of OBS and VMIX.

Responsibilities

Produce content for multiple platforms, including TV, internet, and mobile.
Produce an OBS-style newscast.
Arrange interviews and video shots, and use non-linear editing.
Work with management to enterprise and develop stories daily.
Tell stories using dynamic live shots and stand-ups, creative graphics, and digital and social media platforms.
Organize material, determine story angle or emphasis, and write stories according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
Gather and verify story information through interviews, observation, and research.
Build a network of sources that provides information and helps the Company stay ahead of competitors.
Write stories for the web and other eMedia platforms.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
