About The Position

Perform duties to operate multiple types of machines to include gag straightening, demagnetizing, furnaces, shot blasting, saws, overhead cranes, forklift and CombiLift and to include final inspection.

Requirements

  • Operate multiple types of machines including gag straightening, demagnetizing, furnaces, shot blasting, saws, overhead cranes, forklift, and CombiLift.
  • Perform final inspection.
  • Work from job schedules to determine material required, locate material, and arrange for movement by crane.
  • Follow general and machine-specific work instructions (start-up, set-ups, preventive maintenance, operating, shut down, lockout tag-out).
  • Load/unload and move material using Forklift, CombiLift, or crane.
  • Record material movement in PLEX.
  • Use lift truck, banding equipment, pneumatic hand hoist, grinder, wrenches, tape measure, and digital caliper.
  • Maintain production records.
  • Perform SPC and quality check procedures.
  • Perform calibration checks for tape measures, squares, refractometers, gauss meter, calipers, and other gauges.
  • Ensure all items are within tolerance and current calibration schedule.
  • Notify supervisor of equipment or material problems.

  • Follow all general and machine specific work instructions to include start-up, set-ups (minimal to minor), preventive maintenance, operating, shut down and lockout tag-out.
  • Load/unload and/or locate and move material from one location to another using Forklift, CombiLift or crane. Record location of material being moved into PLEX.
  • Use lift truck, banding equipment, pneumatic hand hoist, grinder, wrenches, tape measure, digital caliper and other hand tools.
  • Maintain production records and perform SPC and quality check procedures as prescribed.
  • Perform necessary calibration checks for tape measures, squares, refractometers, gauss meter, calipers and other gauges and assure all items are within tolerance and within current calibration schedule.
  • Notify supervisor of equipment or material problems.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
