About The Position

As a Multi-Functional Manufacturing Manager, you will provide overall leadership and direction to a represented workforce managed by a cross-functional salary team across three shifts. You will ensure seamless operations by identifying and resolving production constraints and implementing strategies to mitigate bottlenecks. The role involves overseeing workforce planning, scheduling, and execution to meet production objectives, and driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. You will promote a culture of accountability, ensuring employees understand their roles and responsibilities while being held to performance expectations, and engage employees at all levels, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development to create a high-performing team. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies is also key, as is collaborating with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to enhance operational effectiveness and resolve production challenges. The position utilizes lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence. Requirements

  • Experience leading in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience managing represented employees in a union environment.
  • Strong background in F-35 production operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage production constraints to optimize workflow.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions to resolve production challenges.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience leading multi-shift operations.
  • Knowledge of SAP, MES, or other manufacturing execution systems.
  • Proven track record of driving efficiency improvements and reducing waste.
  • Experience overseeing large-scale aerospace or defense manufacturing.
  • Candidate will have an advanced level of knowledge of Earned Value Management System, Problem Solving, and various reporting tools.
