About The Position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. This role involves maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. The technician will work with various technical documents and work orders, and may be required to perform different job roles within the maintenance department. The job may involve working at heights or in confined spaces.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED Required
Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends and emergency call-ins as needed. Shift work may be required.
Willingness and ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which include working at heights, climbing stairs and navigating catwalks, stooping and bending, occasionally exerting more than 100 pounds of force, and/or frequently exerting more than 50 pounds force working in an environment containing wood dust and extreme heat or cold.
Ability and willingness to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

Degree from a vocational or technical school
Electrical troubleshooting or repair experience
Industrial maintenance experience

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment using knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, welding and other related maintenance skills.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues throughout facility.
Minimize downtime through completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
Work with engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, simple and complex sketches, other related documents and verbal instructions needed to perform assigned duties.
Perform work tasks from SAP generated work descriptions and orders.
Demonstrate flexibility to perform various job roles within the maintenance department as assigned.
Often work must be conducted from heights or within confined spaces.
