About The Position

We are seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to keep heavily automated production operations running at a high level. The role works across mechanical and electrical disciplines, with a strong emphasis on electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, ladder logic, and robotic CNC cells. The technician responds to breakdowns, identifies root causes, performs critical mechanical work including precision machine alignments, and carries out preventive maintenance. A formalized training program is available to help address technical gaps and advance skills in PLCs and automation. This position follows rotating 12-hour shifts on a four-on, four-off schedule. The evening shift runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Total pay is $32.67–$34.67 per hour, consisting of a $31–$33 base rate and a $1.67-per-hour third-shift differential. The posting also notes guaranteed overtime and scheduled tenure-based pay increases every six months.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle both mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
  • Ability to read ladder logic, trace electrical faults, and troubleshoot PLC-driven equipment.
  • Experience with equipment teardowns, rebuilding cylinders, and correcting alignments on rails, slides, and ball screws.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic cylinders, valves, and fluid-power systems.
  • Strong diagnostic approach, including the ability to assess unfamiliar automation problems, isolate issues, and carry out a safe, effective repair.
  • Reliability and a strong work-history tenure are valued.
  • Comfort working in typical automated plant conditions, inside machine cells, and standing or moving during 12-hour shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous exposure to troubleshooting industrial robotics and automated material handling.
  • TCAT training or other technical training or certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and safely repair electrical and mechanical issues across automated machinery, using a structured troubleshooting approach to restore equipment and prevent repeat failures.
  • Troubleshoot low-voltage controls, sensors, motors, and relays; read ladder logic across multiple PLC platforms.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and maintain automated CNC machining cells, robotic arms, and integrated automation systems.
  • Repair, rebuild, and maintain CNC mills, grinders, washers, and automated material-handling systems.
  • Perform precision alignment and tracking of machine components, including ball screws, rails, slides, fixtures, and jigs.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components, including pumps, cylinders, valves, actuators, and regulators.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and identify developing issues in automated cells before they cause downtime.
  • Document work performed, downtime causes, and parts usage; communicate with shift leads and senior technicians during shift handoffs.

Benefits

  • Formalized training program to help bridge technical gaps and advance skills in PLCs and automation.
  • Guaranteed overtime.
  • Scheduled step-up pay increases every six months.
  • Shift differential of $1.67 per hour for third shift.
