About The Position

Indiana Pickling is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment operating efficiently and safely. The role supports production goals by maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate has experience maintaining industrial equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to continue developing technical skills. Steel industry experience is a plus. Overtime is required to meet customer demands. The position involves performing preventive maintenance, rigging machinery for installation and removal, installing and repairing electrical apparatus, maintaining pipe, hydraulic, and pneumatic lines, and completing time-sensitive tasks during production outages. The stated starting pay is $65,000 annually ($31.25 per hour), based on experience and an onsite interview.

Requirements

Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment correctly.
Welding skills.
Technical expertise.
Hydraulic repair experience.
Ability to read blueprints; training is available.
Understanding of imperial measurement standards.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands of heavy work, including exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
