About The Position

This role involves programming, setting up, and operating multi-axis CNC machinery, including HAAS mills, Okuma lathes, and Laguna routers, to produce precision components. The position requires translating engineering drawings into finished parts, optimizing programs using G-Code and M-Code, and ensuring parts meet strict tolerances using precision measuring equipment. The machinist will also be responsible for routine maintenance, supporting production goals, and contributing to general shop operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of CNC programming and setup experience (HAAS experience preferred).
• Solid command of G-Code and M-Code programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).

Nice To Haves

• Manual machining background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and run HAAS CNC mills, Okuma lathes, and Laguna routers.
• Translate engineering drawings/blueprints into precision components.
• Create and edit programs using G-Code and M-Code; optimize feeds, speeds, and paths.
• Configure tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets for efficient throughput.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring equipment to verify tolerances.
• Hit production goals and support on-time customer deliveries.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and safety checks.
• Assist with material handling and general shop operations.
