MuleSoft AMS Architect
About The Position
The MuleSoft AMS Architect leads Application Management and Support services for MuleSoft-based integrations. The role is responsible for platform stability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with business objectives, combining architecture expertise with support governance, incident management, stakeholder communication, and platform optimization. The position owns the MuleSoft AMS landscape, including support, maintenance, enhancements, and production stability; leads L2/L3 support; and ensures adherence to service-level commitments. It also provides architectural guidance, governs releases and changes, coordinates with business and technical stakeholders, and drives monitoring, automation, cost optimization, and service improvement initiatives. The role provides technical leadership across support and enhancement teams and serves as an escalation point for critical production issues and strategic platform decisions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Expertise in API-led Connectivity, RAML, DataWeave, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and CloudHub.
- Experience managing production support and AMS operations for enterprise integrations.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, messaging systems, and middleware technologies.
- Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management Processes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, and automated deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery and support models.
Nice To Haves
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA).
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (MCPA).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the MuleSoft AMS landscape, including support, maintenance, enhancements, and production stability.
- Lead L2/L3 support activities and ensure adherence to SLA/KPI commitments.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
- Govern production releases, change management, and environment management activities.
- Support capacity planning, platform upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.
- Provide architectural guidance for complex incidents, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues.
- Review integration designs, APIs, security standards, and deployment strategies.
- Mentor development and support teams on MuleSoft best practices and architecture standards.
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve critical issues.
- Act as the escalation point for critical production issues and strategic platform decisions.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards for proactive support.
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Ensure platform stability, reliability, and ongoing service improvements.
- Provide technical leadership across support and enhancement teams.
- Drive service governance and client engagement.
- Ensure risk mitigation, operational stability, and continuous improvement.
