Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or closely related engineering role.
- OR Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field, and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
- GUI Test automation
- Python, C, or C++
- Automation and tool development
- Data engineering and DevOps
- Source code control solutions, including Git
- Entire software lifecycle, including Gathering Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, and Maintenance
- Computer hardware architecture and firmware components
- Using standard REST API
- Linux and Windows system internals
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- JIRA issue and project tracking software
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Plan, design, develop and/or test software systems for software enhancements and new products with focus in automation and control.
- Plan the software test infrastructure.
- Build automated test pipelines on Jenkins, driving towards full automation coverage within a continuous integration environment.
- Exercise wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
- Participate in code reviews, creating unit tests, authoring detailed documentation related to your work, and working with on-site and offshore teams to deliver the automation solutions on schedule.
- Partake in all phases of the software development including system requirements analysis, coordinating feature design and development across functional and organization boundaries.
- Utilize expertise with computers and electronics, including hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.
