About The Position

We are seeking candidates for the position of Etch Process Engineer with a strong passion for developing processes for new technology offerings and advanced manufacturing, to expand GF’s technology portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master's or Ph.D Degree in electrical / electronic / Mechanical / Microelectronics / Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / Physics or related field.
• Minimum 5 year of working experience in etch process development.
• Knowledge and hands on experience with etch tooling.
• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.

Nice To Haves

• Worked in a semiconductor fabrication facility.
• Broad knowledge in 200mm patterning processes.
• Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning & organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across product development and process integration to determine and develop etch processes.
• Develop and execute experiments to progress R&D projects in a 200mm High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) foundry environment.
• Collaborate with experts across GF fabs to promote sharing and learning across fabs.
• Collaborate with Equipment Suppliers to determine industry capabilities and evaluate options applicable to GF technology roadmap.
• Follow up with cross-fab benchmarking activities to engage the best-in-class practices across fabs.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
