About The Position

The MTO Assembly Associate at Waterworks will perform and maintain appropriate processes in support of our made-to-order plumbing program, comprised of outsourced metals finishing. Day to day you will be performing breakdown and re-assembly of our products, tracking part details, inspecting final product. Please note this location is within our warehousing/distribution center in Brookfield, CT.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years prior experience in light manufacturing in consumer products.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal partners and outside manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated exceptional tactile and hand/eye coordination skills.
  • Ability to utilize JD Edwards, JotForm, and email to enter and track data.
  • Demonstrates a passion and a responsibility for quality work and client satisfaction.
  • Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and withstand prolonged standing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the timely breakdown, outsourcing and re-assembly/packaging of product.
  • Perform appropriate disassembly and re-assembly of plumbing and hardware product to prepare product for an outsourced finishing process.
  • Follow instructions to customize product in line with specifications from product or engineering teams.
  • Perform proper recording of product details before shipment/ inspect and check in re-finished product before re-assembly.
  • Maintain appropriate relationships with finishing vendors.
  • Help set and maintain quality and delivery expectations.
  • Review and help establish feasibility of all made-to-order requests.
  • Maintain and monitor work in process inventory.
  • Perform necessary tasks to fulfill client/supply chain orders as needed.
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout all Waterworks product lines.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
