Position Title: MTC Production Technician I Job Summary: Perform work involving multiple manufacturing processes, including furnaces, automated assembly equipment, and laser cutters, in accordance with customer specifications, internal standards, and work order instructions. Conduct operator-level inspections to ensure product quality, support production activities, maintain material controls, and promote a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This role requires significant time spent on the shop floor and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, including strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, SOPs, and production documentation requirements.
  • Ability to maintain organized work areas and follow 5S principles.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to support overtime, departmental initiatives, and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, automated assembly equipment, and laser cutters.
  • Perform operator-level inspections to verify products meet customer and quality requirements.
  • Assist with production-related tasks and provide support across multiple manufacturing functions.
  • Monitor and maintain inventories of production gases, metal coils/sheets/laminations, bonding agents, cleaning supplies, and consumable components.
  • Maintain material identification and traceability controls for incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials.
  • Clean production equipment and perform basic maintenance inspections and tasks.
  • Operate simple measuring gauges and inspection tools.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations as assigned.
  • Safely operate forklifts, combi-lifts, overhead cranes, and other designated equipment.
  • Utilize SAP, Shopfloor systems, Microsoft Office, and other software to document and report production activities.
  • Maintain production and quality documentation in compliance with departmental procedures.
  • Participate in Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, ISO 14001, AS9100, and 5S initiatives.
  • Assist with training employees and support departmental goals and special projects.
