About The Position

Penobscot Valley Hospital, a critical access hospital in Lincoln Maine, is seeking qualified MT or MLT for a 13-week assignment. The role involves 3-12 hour shifts after the first week of training, with rotation of weekends (usually every 5th weekend). There is no call required, but the position will fill in for Thursday night shifts and can pick up vacancies if not filled by regular staff. Proficiency in Microbiology is preferred, and if not, experience with gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures is a must. The role requires proficiency in phlebotomy and the ability to perform Blood Bank testing. The individual will work holidays as needed on a rotating basis and must be proficient with Covid regulations (PPE, isolation rooms, etc.). The ability to multitask, prioritize, work alone, and communicate proficiently is essential.

Requirements

• Graduated from an approved program.
• Proficient in phlebotomy.
