MT/MLT/Laboratory Scientist: 36 Hours per Week (Midnight)
About The Position
The MT/MLT/Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, performing tests, and reporting test results. Testing may include waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director. The role reports all test results according to established procedures, participates in quality control procedures, and complies with departmental quality assurance and quality management standards, including applicable JCAHO, CAP, and CLIA requirements. Specimen collection is performed as necessary. The position is located at Franciscan Health Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana. The schedule is 7:30 PM–6:00 AM, seven days on and seven days off, with weekends and holidays worked according to a scheduled rotation. The position is listed as 36 hours per week and 0.9 FTE.
Requirements
- For the MLT qualification: an associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- For the MT qualification: a bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training is preferred.
Responsibilities
