About The Position

The MT/MLT/Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, performing tests, and reporting results. Testing includes waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests as authorized by the Director. The position reports results according to established procedures and participates in quality-control procedures, complying with departmental quality-assurance and quality-management standards and applicable JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other agency requirements. Specimen collection is performed as necessary. The role is PRN (Per Rotation Needed) at Franciscan Health Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Requirements

• For MLT: Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• For MT: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited college or university, or a bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training is preferred.

Responsibilities
