About The Position

This individual is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. The role involves performing waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director. The individual will report results of all tests performed according to established procedures. Additionally, this position requires full participation in all quality control procedures and compliance with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department as outlined by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other applicable agencies. Specimen collection will be performed as necessary.

Requirements

• Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution (for MLT)
• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university (for MT)
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences (for MT)

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training
