About The Position

Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates is seeking a dedicated MT/MLT/Laboratory Scientist to join their team. This role involves specimen processing, performing tests, and reporting results for waived, moderate, and high complexity tests. The position requires adherence to quality control, quality assurance, and quality management standards set by various agencies. Specimen collection may also be required.

Requirements

MLT: Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
MT: Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university.
Or Bachelor degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

Specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results.
Testing performed will include waived, moderate and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director.
Report results of all tests performed according to established procedures.
Participate fully in all quality control procedures.
Comply with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department as outlined by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA and other applicable agencies.
Perform specimen collection as necessary.
