About The Position

The MSC Lead Class 6 position assists in maintaining overall productivity within the MSC (Mechanically Separated Chicken) area. The role supports daily operations, provides guidance to team members, fills in for absences and breaks, and assists supervisors in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production activities. Pay is $21.95 per hour.

Ability to lead and communicate effectively with production team members.
Ability to perform multiple positions within the department.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
3 - month forklift experience listed on the application (can be combination of employers as long as experience is at least 3 months
180 days wait period from last termination date
3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before)

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience preferred or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

Assist the supervisor in the daily operation of the MSC department.
Support production goals, productivity, and workflow throughout the MSC area.
Provide guidance and instruction to team members when supervision is not present.
Fill in as needed to cover absenteeism, breaks, and emergency situations.
Operate forklifts and transport materials when required and authorized.
Haul frames to the protein plant and load condemn trailers when necessary.
Follow all safety procedures, machine guarding requirements, and operational standards.
Report equipment malfunctions to supervision or maintenance immediately.
Maintain sanitation and food safety requirements throughout assigned work areas.
Comply with all Tyson Foods policies and procedures.
