About The Position
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. The role involves monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed, notifying the supervisor of any maintenance requirements, and maintaining a safe work environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include setting up and breaking down machinery.
Requirements
- 3-Month operator experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 3 months).
- 180 days wait period from last termination date.
- 3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).
- Successful completion of On-the-Job Training (OJT).
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process.
- Ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line.
- Monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed.
- Notifying supervisor if machines require maintenance.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Setting up and breaking down machinery.
- Performing stretching activities before and during the shift to help reduce repetitive-motion injuries.
- Reporting unsafe conditions immediately to leadership.
