2026-27 MS Tutor (open until filled)
About The Position
This position involves preparing instructional materials, reinforcing learning objectives, and providing one-on-one and small group assistance to students. The MS Tutor will also collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators on student academic concerns, assist with maintaining student records, and supervise students in various settings including recess, lunchroom, study halls, and hallways. Additional duties include escorting students, correcting assignments, participating in crosswalk duty, and providing assistance with special daily needs such as toileting and feeding. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, email, and internet.
- Ability to keep student information confidential.

- One year in similar position preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares instructional materials as directed/selected by teacher.
- Reinforces instructional/behavioral objectives.
- Assists students one to one and in small groups.
- Meets with teachers, counselors, and administrators regarding academic concerns of students.
- Provides assistance to maintaining student records.
- Supervises students in the absence of teacher.
- Escorts students to various areas of the building.
- Monitors students during recess, lunchroom, study halls, and in hallways.
- Corrects student assignments.
- Participates in cross walk duty rotation before and after school hours at elementary schools.
- Provides assistance to students with special daily needs (toileting, feeding, physical management).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
