About The Position

The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves supporting clients in managing mental health issues, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions to promote mental wellness and recovery.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in providing therapeutic services in a clinical setting, preferably related to mental health.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of multicultural issues in therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in therapy.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health therapy.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest research and techniques in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments and gather relevant information to understand clients' mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and supervising licensed therapists.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, to address clients' mental health concerns.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of mental health therapy.
