About The Position

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides care to a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, and the most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. As the first point of contact with patients, candidates must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi task. The Office Coordinator will be responsible for front office reception, appointment scheduling, follow-up, data entry, billing, copying or scanning and supply monitoring and fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum: 1 year of job-related experience
  • Previous experience demonstrating direct customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment (fax, printer, copier, scanner)
  • Computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge in healthcare systems operations
  • Experience in navigating EMRs
  • Ability to answer multiple incoming telephone calls
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
  • Multi-tasked abilities
  • Ability to perform well in stressful situations
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies

Nice To Haves
