Requirements

• Completion of the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” course.
• Completion of the NFHS “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” course.
• Completion of the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
• Completion of the NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course annually.
• Possession of a concussion certificate.
• Possession of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013.

Responsibilities

• Complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position.
• Keep concussion Certificate on file every year.
• Keep Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate on file every year.
• When applicable, completion of "Fundamentals of Coaching"- Copy on file.
• When applicable, completion of "First Aid, Health, & Safety"- Copy on file.
• When applicable, completion of “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course- Copy on file every year.
• Complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
