About The Position
Durham Academy is seeking a part-time Middle School Track and Field Assistant Coach specializing in field events. This role involves teaching, coaching, and mentoring over 30 Middle School athletes, reporting directly to the Head Coach. The position runs from February to mid-May, with practices Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5 pm, and no weekend responsibilities.
Requirements
- Experience competing as a field event athlete at the high school or college level.
- Passion for the sport of track & field, especially the field events.
- Ability to communicate and work well with other coaches, parents, and student-athletes.
- Enjoy helping student-athletes reach their potential.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Teaching, coaching, and mentoring 30+ Middle School athletes.
- Develop and implement workouts appropriate for varying skill levels.
- Attend practices and meets.
