About The Position
The Macon R-1 School District is seeking applicants for an opening of MS Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The role aims to help student-athletes become well-rounded individuals by fostering an appreciation for discipline, character, and sportsmanship, while also increasing their self-esteem. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a minimum of an appropriate Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate.
Requirements
- Must have or be able to attain a minimum of an appropriate Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate.
- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
