About The Position

Join Lonza as an MRP Planner II and play a vital role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials that support the manufacture of life-changing products. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across multiple functions, optimize supply chain performance, and directly contribute to operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficient experience in production planning, MRP planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP methodologies, production planning processes, inventory control principles, and supply chain best practices.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed planning decisions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions and organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to support manufacturing demand and inventory objectives.
  • Analyze planning outputs and convert requirements into purchase requisitions and production orders, partnering closely with Purchasing and Manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels to proactively identify shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks, implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and resolve supply chain issues impacting production schedules.
  • Support New Product Introductions (NPI) by ensuring material readiness and seamless integration into manufacturing operations.
  • Generate and analyze planning metrics, including on-time delivery, inventory performance, and forecast accuracy, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Sales, and Supply Chain while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
