Working Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30 PM Summary: The Repair Station Technician is dedicated to repair and refurbishing A/C, Heating and Cabin Air Pressure control units for small aircraft. As a Repair Station Technician, you will work in a FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station. You’ll trouble shoot and repair units on tight schedules, including preforming component analysis and completing repair and refurbishment of incoming units. You’ll work closely with Customer Service Representatives, Purchasing, and QA to ensure quoted lead times and Turn Around Time (TAT) are met. Additionally, you’ll… Perform intermediate repair operation including bench assembly/disassembly, test, soldering, flaring, riveting, tube bending and mechanical assembly of high quality products efficiently, accurately, safely and on time Use current drawings and/or schematics to assemble/repair. Use oven, drill press, parts washer, bearing press, down draft table, ultra sonic cleaner, balancer and vacuum pump. Use electronic devices such as multi meter, power supplies, ESDS wrist bands, hydrogen leak detector, RPM meter, AMP meter, hi pot tester, tension meter, mili ohm meter, vibration meter, digital thermometer and LCR- capacitance tester. Using hand tools, drills, calipers, heat gun, die grinder, height gages, bench center, lock wire pliers, blind rivet guns, torque wrenches, safety cable tool and nutsert installation tool. Improve work methods and tooling Report any safety problems to management Follow all environmental, health and safety policies Keep work area clean and orderly Ensure compliance with work instructions and standards Subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-2 yrs related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with hand tools is required.
  • Must be able to read schematics and drawings.
  • Ability to be on-site in the Thornton facility M-F 6:30 am – 2:30 pm
  • Submit to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA Regulations.
