About The Position

Airbus is seeking a tenacious MRO Support Specialist to join their team. This role involves managing orders, architecting supplier relationships, challenging repair schemes, optimizing rotable pools, and ensuring fleet readiness. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for financial statements and the ability to hold vendors accountable for performance and turnaround times.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years in an MRO, Vendor management or procurement.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment.
  • Understanding of cross-cultural / global issues.
  • Citizenship: Authorized to Work in the U.S.
  • Prompt regular attendance.
  • Able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
  • Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience in SD, MM, WM or SD environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Create service orders and purchase orders as required.
  • Assist procurement in establishing targeted supplier's service level agreement.
  • Coordinate quality discrepancies resolution with external suppliers.
  • Conduct routine performance evaluations and define improvement plans with external suppliers/vendors to recover targeted performance (KPI’s).
